I use Progesta-Care by Life-Flo. I find it at my local health food store. There are some important requirements of progesterone when you purchase it over-the-counter. It would be good for you to read some of the related articles on this site about it.

Junie,
Considering all the problems you are having finding balance, I would suggest that you consult with your doctor so he/she is aware of what you're doing. Also, I have found that compounded progesterone really isn't any more expensive than the OTC. I pay $22 for a 30 day supply, which lasts me alot longer than 30 days.

I agree with Kim M about the price of compounded progesterone. Mine is less than $20 at Women's International Pharmacy(I hope it's ok to say that). Of course, you have to pay shipping charges. They're extremely reasonable.
Best of luck

But you have to have a prescription for a compounded progesterone cream, right?

Yes, so you would have the doctor bill. I understand what you're saying. The OTC brands are good as well. Good luck
