new at this

I am new to this site - I have been scheduled for over a month for a hysterectomy - it is scheduled for 11/14 this friday. This weekend I read about UFE or UAE and now I am really confused.

I guess I read about so many negative things for both of these options, not doing anything is not an option, I have already had to cancel trips and miss work because of excesive periods, anemia, etc..

I want my life back - are there any happy endings out there?

If you would read some of the post op post you will find that there are a lot of happy endings. There are those who are not happy about their surgery but I think you will find more of us end up happy about life after a hysterectomy.

I am glad you asked this question, I am 7 weeks post op from TAH/BSO and I am very happy to say I feel GREAT!

I had a very uneventful recovery and aside from taking some time to get my full supply of energy back I have no complaints. The energy level gets better every day and starting next week I am free to go back to working out.

Keep a positive attitude and follow the princess rules to the letter and you will be on the road to a new life before you know it.
