Is it normal for spotting to continuously start and stop after hysterectomy?

For the second time since surgery I have stopped spotting for a few days only to start spotting again. Is this normal? Or is it a sign that I've over done it, or that something is wrong?

I spotted on and off for 7 weeks. After the 7th week it went away and didn't come back. But if its concerning you you can always call your Dr.

I've read here that spotting is very, very normal. anything from light red, pinkish, to brown. I've had it off and on the last 4 weeks and I assume it will continue as part of the healing process.

The doctor said to call if it should gush out or fill up a regular pad (won't stop) -- then something serious has happened, but spotting is normal.
