Hysterectomy: May 2nd, 2012

Surgery Type: LAVH

Ovaries: Kept 1 or both

Hysterectomy (saved ovaries)-Hypo(or hyper)thyroidism

Have any of you with either type of thyroidism noticed a change after hysterectomy? Knowing that hormones from both areas are connected, I was just curious if any of you had any trouble, or maybe less trouble with your thyroid post-surgery.

Ovaries: Removed both

I have hypothyroidism (long standing) and noticed no difference and there has been no change in my meds. Good luck
