Trying to keep it together. Help!

Had DVH on 1/29 - kept ovaries. Thought recovery wasn't going to include emotional problems since I kept my ovaries however.... My husband travels for work and he has to leave in 2 days for a 3 day speaking engagement. This is normal in my home. The fact that he's been home with me for a week is unusual but I'm starting to panic. My mom will be here. My daughter is old enough to be at least a little helpful and I have friends with kids the same age helping me with her. Everything us covered and yet t minus 2 days till he departs I'm ready to throw myself at his feet and sob and beg him to stay (which he can't). What the heck is wrong with me?!?! It's the only thing that's brought me even close to tears! Anyone else feeling overly dependent on someone?

Re: Trying to keep it together. Help!

Lol YES! My boyfriend....He will be at work and I find myself getting kind of teary eyed because I miss him. I was soooo glad today was Friday and that he is going to be home the next couple of days. I kept my ovaries and my hormones have been kinda out of wack since the surgery.

It's not that I feel dependent upon anyone in particular (& that could turn out to be a major flaw on my part) but I have been emotional. Thinking about my mother that passed a few months ago.

Maybe you could call your doctor to see if they cangive you something to help you through this. More than lijely your ovary shut down for a little but after surgery . It will start working again soon. Hang in there.

Ladies, be gentle with yourselves. Your ovaries are in shock, your body is in shock and of course your emotional. There's grief mixed into the hysterectomy, even if we chose it wanted, glad for it. This is big stuff
