Fibromyalgia- SOS call!

Days 1-23, no fibromyalgia pain. all of my pain was localized in the incision area and abdominal area inside where work was done. Today, Day 24, I was hit with a fibromyalgia attack. Anyplace you touch me feels like hitting me with a hammer. I am wondering if this could be hormonally related. I am hoping not. I was hoping and thinking that since the surgeon found "A lot" of scar tissue on my left ovary, uterous, and I believe the ovary was attached slightly to the bowel; that all of those things were causing the fibromyalgia pain which always set in like clockwork about 2 days before I could tell I was ovulating and the pain continued until the last day of my period.

After the surgery, I've been so encouraged that all the pain I've had is just localized: zero fibromyalgia pain. Now, on Day 24- debilitating pain that 2 hydrocodones didn't touch. I soo need to go back to my SunStone yoga, but my doctor says no way for at least 4-5 more weeks- understandable.

Please pray this pain is from a temporary shutdown of my ovaries or weird weather or something and that it is NOT my new normal. Thank you so much, sisters. If the pain isn't gone by Monday, I will call my regular doctor and the surgeon to let them know what happened and to request physical therapy.

Re: Fibromyalgia- SOS call!

I hope this pain is just temporary for you. I do not have fibro, but I have polyarthritis and pain that mimics Chrohn's. I've had absolutely no pain besides surgical site pain either since the surgery (but I'm only 5 days out). My husband and I were just talking that maybe the scar tissue and endometriosis that they didn't even know I had till the surgery "fixed" my other problems. Probably not, but I sure hope so.

I'll be praying for you Anna that your fibro pain disappears as quickly as it came on. Glad you'll be calling your docs on Monday. Take care!

Re: Fibromyalgia- SOS call!

Saying a prayer for you both. Since I have not been fully active my disease has FLARED! I have a rare muscular/Nero disease that freezes my muscles & gives me sometimes limited mobility & lots of pain. I have to stay moving & since I've been "down" I've been miserable.

Sorry you are in pain. Praying it stops for you soon!!

Re: Fibromyalgia- SOS call!

My Fibromyalgia pain hasn't changed. I've had less pain because of the increase in pain meds but that's it. But, I've always had my Fibro symptoms at all times and not just at period time. Perhaps your body believes it is period time.
