Started Vivelle .05 tonight.Have any of you had good luck with this?

Saw my oncologist today and she reluctantly let my gyn give me a prescription for the vivelle dot for 6 mos.My onc said even though I've been 9 years since breast cancer(I was 36) that this type of cancer isn't one of them that after 5 years your in the clear for recurrence, but because I having such issues with anxiety/panic attacks, fast pulse and increased blood pressure she would agree on a short term basis to help me with the transition. She agreed I need quality of life.

So how did any of you do while on this?I just put mine on 3hrs ago.But I swear I feel more energy surging through me already. Is that even possible?

I never had cancer so it was safe for me to start with estrogen therapy after my BSO and total hysterectomy. I started with Vivelle Dot .025 and so far so good. I don't think menopause usually causes anxiety - especially 9 years after menopause starts. Is there maybe something or some things in your life that may be causing it? Also, my BP became extremely high almost a year ago - before my surgical menopause. I am thin, athletic and only in my early 40's. I went to a nephrologist who thought a kidney problem was probably causing my sudden high BP but the diagnostic testing failed to detect a kidney problem. I ended up in the ER, my BP was in the stroke zone the ER staff thought at first I might be having a stroke because the very high BP makes my vision blurry at times and it took some effort for me to speak. I have had to stop eating out (too much salt), I've adopted a very low sodium diet and started making virtually all meals at home, I exercise daily (usually an hour long brisk walk and weight training a few days a week), retired from working, and had to go on Lisinopril (an ACE inhibitor) to keep my BP down. I'm hoping to cut my Lisinopril down to half the current dose now that my mastectomy, reconstruction and hysterectomy are behind me and now that I stopped working.

I had breast cancer 9 years ago Not menopause. I just had total hysterectomy with ovaries removed 9 weeks ago. So I am going through surgical menopause now.So my gyn and my onc both agreed that lack of estrogen at my age can cause anxiety and heart/BP problems.

Goodriddance.. You said you never have had cancer, but you had a mastectomy. May In ask why? Did you have genetic testing? I didn't have mastectomy, but I did have chemo and radiation after I was diagnosed.
