9 weeks post-op TAH with a weepy belly button

Here we go again...frustration...

I'm 9 weeks post-op tomorrow and my belly button has decided to start weeping. My husband says it is warm to the touch around the area. No fever. Doesn't seem to smell. The liquid is like a watery/milky wetness.
I was wearing a white shirt earlier and it had left a spot or 2 of reddish tinge on the shirt.

My belly button and the area around was a little sensitive/itchy the last few days that I had attributed to "just healing"

I've dealt with an infected incision at 1 week post-op when the Dr. had to reopen my incision partially (6cm long and 4 cm deep) in order for the infected fluids to drain properly.

Daily visits to the out patient clinic to have the incision cleaned and repacked so it can heal from the inside out. We are now at the final stages of healing with the incision almost closed.

AND NOW THIS!!!
My appointments have been scheduled to every 3 days now, and I was actually there today, but of course, nothing was happening then.
Looks like I'll go in tomorrow and see if they can take a look even though I don't have an appointment. It has kinda been my 2nd home since the last 8 weeks and all....

Thanks for reading my vent...I'm so frustrated. I've been feeling so much better lately and I really didn't think I've overdid it...maybe I have (?)

Thanks LaineyLane for the hugs.
It hasn't been an easy recovery for me and I was finally feeling better. I really thought all this was finally getting behind me.
Here's hoping for good news tomorrow.
Thanks again

Re: 9 weeks post-op TAH with a weepy belly button

So I went to the out patient clinic and they were happy to take a look. The nurse cleaned the navel area. He took out some yellowish pus and put some mesh into my navel to absorb the fluid. Covered it with a gauze pad. He said it looks like I might have had another pocket of infection that is just coming out now. Told me to call my Dr.
I called and my Dr. can see me later this afternoon (thank God).
Let you know how it goes...

Re: 9 weeks post-op TAH with a weepy belly button

So, my Dr. didn't seem too concerned. He was happy with the original infected incision and said I no longer required the mesh as the wound has healed all the way up the surface, so now it can scab over and heal the rest of the way. Yay! It's been a long 8 weeks of treatment for that...
As for my navel, he said I'll need to keep packing it with the mesh for a little longer till it no longer seeps any longer.
I'll be keeping a close eye though, last thing I need is for it to get worse.
