Spotting at 3 weeks post hysterectomy

I am at three weeks post op, Dr said it is normal and may be due to internal sutures dissolving. Just wondering if doing too much may be a cause as well.

The spotting could be stitches dissolving but it can also be from over doing it. Both things can cause spotting and you could notice pieces of stitches coming out when you wipe also. My Dr told me as long as I wasn't soaking a pad in a hour or less then it is nothing to worry about. But please remember to and listen to your body she knows what she needs. Get alot of rest and listen to your . Obey the restrictions and take care of yourself. We are here if you need us.

I'm actually 5 weeks out and started spotting TODAY! I only spotted about 2 of 3 days initially .... I did sub for the first time and did much more this week....maybe it was too much
I wish you luck. My doctor did say it could be 8 weeks or more. And like the last said above...as long as you have NO fever and not filling a pad that quickly you should be fine!
