ok, now im sure your all getting really sick of all my questions but they keep popping into my head! My question is I know we cant have sex until the doctor says its ok after a TVH but does that mean that we cant have an orgasm? Thanks Tracey x

No orgasms either until get okay for them. Ask your DR.

It's best to check with your doctor to make sure it's OK.

That being said, most of the time it's OK to have what we call "outercourse" (outside stimulation using the hands) starting at 2-3 weeks postop. You may not feel like doing much, however.... everyone's different.

Hate to say it, but you really should check with your doctor (or the nurse, if that's easier) about this. My doctor said it was fine from day 1, but other doctors feel differently. (Actually, I asked the nurse, because I couldn't quite face asking the doctor. She said Dr X had no problem with it because a BM caused more strain than any orgasm. What a comparison!)

I experienced no decrease in sex drive post-op but.... when my hubby and I decided to go for the "O" manually (2 weeks post-op) it was a mistake, it was painful and frustrating. I have refrained since but am discussing it with my Dr on my next appoint (4 weeks post-op)
