I've had a set back - 4 1/2 week post op TAH

I felt pretty decent last week, so I volunteered at a church function over the weekend, which kept me on my feet for several hours. (In fact, my Dr. cleared me at 3 weeks for all activities except sex.) Even after the function, I was sore but ok. Well, I woke up this morning and felt the same horrible way that I did when I came home from the hospital. I have had trouble walking today because of abdominal and pelvic pain, along with swelly belly. My incision looks fine (except for swelling), and I have had no bleeding (thank you, Lord). Take my advice - DO NOT increase activity just because you feel good. You will regret it. I am so mad at myself. I have also been going back to the office part-time for 2 weeks now - I have a desk job.

I assume I should just rest until this passes. Any other thoughts?

exact same thing here. I did too much on Saturday, and now I feel worse than ever. I have been using ice, and naproxen, and go in tomorrow. I don't have much advice except rest and I hope you feel better soon!

I am 6 weeks post and have been back at my office job full time. I also had TAH. While I really feel wonderful I am still very tired at the end if the day. We are going to the zoo tomorrow but gonna take it slow. As tired as I am, it is so much better than a 5 month uterus and bleeding so much that I almost pass out every week and a half. I hope you get to feeling better.

I am 9 weeks post op now. I totally understand the great desire to get back to "normal" but PLEASE take it easy. Time is passing from one week until the next. You can feel great one, two, three days in a row and then overdo it before you know it.
I have sat TOO long at my desk over the last three days and I am now feeling it "a little" in my belly. I found out our bodies will tell us and we are wise to listen.
I stayed focus on NOT hurting myself because I did not want a "setback." Rest, rest, rest - try hard to relax. The time WILL go by and you will get your life back the way you want it.
HUGS!
