Boobies...

Hi everyone!
I am 34 and had my surgery last Monday morning (TLH/Kept Ovaries) I am now 8 days post-op and doing much better after a rough first week. After being discharged I had an allergic reaction to the pain medication I was sent home with and was right back to the ER. On a happy note I haven't had any bleeding since 2days post-op!!! Today my latest surprise is that my boobies are killing me! Couldn't find a post on the boobies unless you were menopausal or had both ovaries removed. But just wanted to know if anyone else feels like they have pregnant boobs or just after baby boobs?!! What could be causing this if I am not menopausal and have my ovaries or is this just a side effect?
Thank you so much Sister's!

Re: Boobies...

Ouch! That sounds painful for you. My boobies haven't felt that way, but sending you gentle hugs. Also, your title made me giggle.

Re: Boobies...

Well I am having some of the same issues. I have noticed that mine feel bigger, not sure if they are just swollen. My DH was excited about that they got bigger. Not sure but it is on my list of questions to ask my doctor

Re: Boobies...

I am just 3 weeks postop and after I got home also noticed pain in the boobies. When I counted back I realized it was about time that I would have been premenstrual. I always got super tender around that's time right before I started. My dr then confirmed that since I kept one ovary I would still have pms symptoms even though no period so that's what I chalked it up to.

Re: Boobies...

I also had a reaction to my pain meds after surgery. I'm 6 weeks out. My boobies stayed tender and swollen until 3 days ago. The tenderness went away and swelling went down a little. Hope some of the swelling is permanent (lol).

Re: Boobies...

I'm beginning to think that this is something that goes with hysto's. I have had the sAme thing to. It sucks. Feels like being pregnant again! Last week was more than this week so maybe it will subside with time. I sure hope so
