2 week check-up after hysterectomy? Mine is at 4 weeks - 1 month. Anyone else?

Good morning ladies. I have a weird question. I've noticed a lot of people posting about 2 week check-ups. Now I'm probably being worried for nothing, but my doctor only is requiring a 4 week check-up. Anyone else only going in a month or more after surgery? I have no stitches, except 'hidden' ones inside my incisions. She cauterized everything internally, interestingly enough, I've seen the actual pictures she took before and after the surgery. Just curious if anyone else was instructed to wait as long as me.

Also, no problems, just typical bladder tenderness this week and 1 swollen but not painful incision.

Happy healing!

Yup--I'm going in at four weeks as well. Then again at eight weeks. I had LAVH with no complications, so that's seems about right to me.

Thank you! My LSH went great and I only had my uterus removed and had no complications either. Good to know I was worried.

I had a LSH and my follow up appointment is not until 6 weeks. I was also wondering why everyone else is going in 2 weeks. I guess every doctor is different.

My doctor required a one week check up and then as long as everything is good then won't recheck until 6 weeks to clear you. Of course I have to be the odd duck and have a hematoma that broke thru the incision and is seeping blood all the time. My doc told me that I have a bleeder still in there. So I will be going back in frequently so he can keep an eye on that. I think every doctor is different. Glad you're healing well.

I'm happy to see not everyone else is required to go back at 2 weeks. Not to mention I'm not really willing to drive 30 miles to go to the doctor.

I had my laproscopic stitches removed on day 4. Otherwise my checkup at the office is at the 6 week mark.

My staples were taken out at 10 days and then didn't see the surgeon till 6 weeks.

Re: 2 week check-up after hysterectomy? Mine is at 4 weeks - 1 month. Anyone else?

I had a laproscopic surgery, so only have small incisions with steri strips. My doctor wanted to do a 2 week follow up (by phone) to review the pathology report - came in after a week and everything was normal, so now I just have my 6 week check up with her to ensure that everything is okay.

She gave me the option of coming in anytime between 4-6 weeks and anytime if I have questions or don't feel well.

All seems to be progressing very well. I'm actually a little nervous that it's too good to be true. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow and I'm not even feeling tired anymore...is that normal? I'll take it, but nervous that 3 weeks from now I'm going to get walloped with fatigue

My two week turned into almost three weeks due to my doc being out of the office. I go tomorrow.
