Bleeding, pain and cramping more then 3 months post op
I have been having a bit of bleeding, only requiring a mini pad, for the past few of weeks. I thought it was due to a yeast infection but the infection is gone and the bleeding isn't. I also feel very "full" and bloated along with cramps that feel like period cramps. I am going back to the doctor tuesday but wanted to ask if anyone else felt this way 3 months out? I had a TAH/BSO, they took my cervix so I shouldnt be having periods at all. I am also having pain up inside, near where the cervix was (I think that is where the pain is coming from) and painful sex.
I feel like something isn't right. I cant quite explain it but I feel almost back to what it was like prior to surgery like something is filling up my abdomen that shouldnt be. I had many fibroids (largest the size of a grapefruit) and adenomyosis and it feels kind of like that. But they removed everything so it shouldnt feel this way.
Any suggestions as to what it might be? I dont know exactly what to say to the doctor if he thinks it is just a normal part of the healing.
Thanks all!

Those symptoms, especially painful sex, at this point in recovery should not be ignored by your doc. If you can link the pain to what you think may be overdoing, that may be one thing, but the painful sex is nothing to be ignored.

I have been very careful not to overdo things. I still haven't gone back to full lifting and I try to take it easy whenever I do anything. I know what the swelly belly feels like but this is different, it feels full...like there is a pressure from the inside. I hope it is something as simple as a bladder infection but I need to know for my own peace of mind that it isn't something wrong.

Re: Bleeding, pain and cramping more then 3 months post op
Hi Hannie-
I had a LAVH about a week after you. A few weeks ago I had a huge set back. I have been very careful as well and simply started doing a lot more of my regular house cleaning and more lifting. The cramping got so bad that I was looking for my pain meds from surgery. Doc told me that it was muscle cramping from muscle, tendon and nerve disruption. The nerve endings were still firing. I had horrible cramping, pain in vaginal area and where I imagine my vaginal cuff is and abdominal pain. I never had bleeding. Pain during sex when all of that was going on. Since then things have gotten better as well as almost no pain during sex.
I am very glad that you are going to see the doc. I only talked all about me to let you know that you are not alone. You definately know your own body and do not let the doctors dismiss your pain. Go in with a list of everything that is bothering you. The bleeding should definately be a red flag for the doc at this point. Please post and let us know what your doc has to day and how you are feeling. Take it easy until then and I will be thinking of you!

Re: Bleeding, pain and cramping more then 3 months post op
I can kinda relate. I am two mths post op. I had a yeast infection early on, took diflucan. I have NEVER had diflucan not work for me. After two exams and he telling me everything looked great and could resume sex. I had sex a few times, gentle and plenty of lube, it was awful. It was really really painful. I called him back and told him all that was going on. He wanted to see me that day. So, Thurs went and seen him. He did an exam, told me everything still looked in tact and great. He told me I had some drainage. He told me that it was some risidual yeast. He prescribed cream.
Maybe yours could still be yeast as well. I know it can cause all sorts of probs. I don't know about the fullness, but def bleeding and painful sex part. I have NO other symptoms either. I was shocked when he told me yeast, had lots of them before, but always had symptoms.
I hope you find your answers and things get better. I agree, don't let the doc dismiss you and if he does, find another. I also am having some cramping going on, gets pretty intense at times, especially for having nothing to cause cramps. I hope you let us know. Best wishes

Re: Bleeding, pain and cramping more then 3 months post op
With the yeast infection I used the cream and the pill and I am pretty sure it is gone although I am not possitive. I did have a yeast infection at my 6 week appt. and that was cleared up but that time there was no pain and no bleeding. I am going to have to tell the doctor that I just dont feel right. Maybe it is something simple...one can hope .
