Considering Hyster, many questions, more test next week

Hello,

I am new to this website and I am trying to be well informed before I go back to my doc next week.

I have been having heavy bleeding with clotting for several years. My GP tested my hormones and said that I was estrogen dominant and so I began taking progesterone.I took this with some success for about a year, until I began to have severe depression from taking the progesterone. I stopped taking the hormone and about 3-6 months later everything began again.I was then refereed to my GYN.

In Jan. of 2011 I had a laparoscopy, D & C,and a Hysteroscopy.Only thing doc found at the time were large polps and a very think uterine wall.

I had several complications from this minor surgery..I was in bed for 2 months afterwards...so this adds to my concern for the possibility at having a partial hyster.

My bleeding began after the procedures within 3 weeks and was still heavy with clotting. I have had since my procedures in Jan chronic yeast infections.

I was prompted to go to my doc this last time, one I am tired of being tired (most days), two I passed a clot so large that I could not pass it.( sorry if to much info)

I am scheduled to have fasting blood work and ultrasound next week. Doc is assuming I have ando.

I have also be diagnosed with low normal thyroid, low iron, and low cortisol.

I guess one of my biggest thought/questions is would I just be trading one problem for another? Is this a little to drastic..or will things just progressively get worse from here?

Sorry for such a long post......Would appreciate any help, advice,or just words of wisdom anyone may have.

Thanks!
