TAH: Hysterectomy surgery tomorrow...magnesium citrate tonight

Any experiences with Magnesium Citrate. I could only drink like 3/4 of the bottle. Had to stop. Hope that is enough to clean me out. Plus have to do an enema at 4 a.m. Just ready to get this all over with. 😥

When I had to prep for my colonoscopy I chilled it and mixed it w sprite. Got the lemon lime flavor and used a straw. Having it directed mostly toward my throat and not a mouthful bubbling around my tongue seemed to help. No big gulps just sips

See the pre op nurse said I had to chug it. She told me it would taste like water down sprite. It tastes like sprite with salt in it. :-( Horrible. I may try to down the rest later. Thanks for the advice. :-)

I did my magnesium citrate about 3 1/2 hours ago; have only had one loose bowel movement. All I've eaten today is some jello and a few popsicles. Hmmm... I hope things start clearing out soon.

I have been about 5 times since I drank the little bit that I did. I don't feel as though I have much left. Have drank a ton of water and now doing chicken broth. It hasn't been as bad as I expected but definitely have to be close to the bathroom. LOL!!!
