I'm On My Way Again!

Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I've been here. Well, here I am scheduled to go for surgery again. After 4 months of lupron injections (I had few side effects, hot flashes, body aches; no periods for 4 months; constipation from taking iron; complete stress test echocardiograms, EKGs, (after both my primary and cardiologist discovered a heart murmur; but I made it through with flying colors); and routine pre-op procedures.

I am scheduled to go in on this Friday, May 3, 2002. I am so ready!! It has been a very stressful four months for me as well as my family who have had to put up with me and everything I've been going through. I'm a little scared, nervous about surgery (what if I awake during the surgery?? What if I don't wake up!!! Ohh the agony of worrying!) and feeling a little down right now, but can't wait to get this over with. Looking forward to the long rest from work and my self-centered boss who dismisses it as being similar to her c-section. I can only hope she never has to go through this.

Everyone please keep me in your prayers! I will certainly be needing it.

Your Boss should come to this site. I questined the ladies about recovery from a C-sect <I had one in '89> vs. recovery for a TAH. Most have said that the recovery is longer because major organs are being REMOVED and your stitches take longer to heal than with a C-sect. I wish you all the best. Please let us know how you are doing!
