So glad so many chimed in here! Thank you! Anti social might have been the wrong choice of words, but I just dont feel like being around people right now. There is just nothing left after I do the things that I technically "have" to do.
Everything about every aspect of my life involved helping, teaching, and counseling people. I just need a break to recover I guess.

Re: Does the complete exhaustion make you a bit antisocial feeling?

I manage to get a walk in everyday but everything makes me exhausted. If I'm not napping I'm lounging. I feel guilty but if I don't take care of me I'm no good to anyone. I'm suppose to return back to work in 2 wks but I may get a drs note. Driving a city bus feeling like this doesn't feel safe.

Re: Does the complete exhaustion make you a bit antisocial feeling?

I'm still like this two years on

I love these 'crisps and chocolate days' as I call them - infact having one today as I didn't get to sleep until 4.30 am

I'm watching world championship athletics in my old droopy sport trousers and baggy vest, might have a nap, might have a shower but then again I might not

I feel that way still and its going to be six weeks. I thought it was going to be easy recovering in the summer, but I feel like I missing so much but at the same time I don't want to do anything.

Salad, when you say that you're "still like this two years on," what are the chances that you're still like this because one of the lessons you learned from your surgery and recovery is that it's *okay* to take a "crisps and chocolate day" now and then?

(For any North Americans reading this, our translation would be a "potato chips and chocolate day.")
