TAH-Sneezing

I have been sneezing a lot since my surgery and am worried that I am hurting or preventing myself from healing. One time I even felt a pop in my right side. Have any of you felt the same way or know sneezing can actually damage anything?

I'm not sure but I know they encouraged deep coughing right after surgery and that's nearly like a sneeze. I would be concerned about a popping though... never hurts to ask your Dr .

Make sure you hold your tummy pillow against you when you sneeze. My first sneeze was a killer!!!

I had a post some where about the same thing.I felt a pop down low when I coughed in the hospital.I told the Dr and she didn't seem too concerned.I also had a pop on my right side down low.Everything checked out ok today so I guess it was just things going back into place,could have been a stitch pop tho.Good luck to you,I'm sure you will heal fine.Might alert your Dr tho,just to be on the safe side.

I had this too - rested for a week and it healed - sneezing is bad for you!!!! but it took me by surprise - now I know I will never sneeze again without holding my stomach!!!
