pain and cramps after ablation

It's been 6 days since my d & c and ablation. My pain and cramps are still 24/7. They wake me up at night. Doctor said the uterine wall was very thick and ablation did not turn out as well as he had hoped. Has anyone else out there had this problem? I realize it's just one week but I have to say....I just want a hyster. Do you think it's premature to discuss this at my pre-op appt in 2 days? I have not returned to work yet. I am exhausted, in pain and now my family doctor is treating me for depression. (of course I'm depressed......I'm so tired of pain and bleeding)

i'm sorry youre in so much pain . if your dr has already told you the ablation didnt turn out as well as he hoped, maybe he will be the one to bring up a hysterectomy?

Hi there....so sorry to hear you are going through this. This sounds like what I went through in May of this year. I had a D & C with Ablation and was out of work for a week with cramping and bleeding. I got my period right on schedule 28 days later like I never even had the procedure, they called this a "failed" ablation. My surgeon also told me the same thing as yours that it didn't turn out as well.

Fast forward to October, periods are much worse, and they find 3 cysts on left ovary, lap procedure finds severe endometriosis, and on Nov 5th, I have Hysterectomy!

Speak to your Dr. at post op appt, you may have other issues going on. They didn't know about my Endo, until they did the Lap. Good luck to you, and I hope you feel better!
