Do a google search on the ob/gyn oncologist. find out his/her rating and which hospitals they work with and those hospitals ratings. Being informed gives you the best options.

Good Luck and keep us posted.
for whatever reason, some doctors want to keep their patients. This is understandable.
I just don't like it when it is better for me if I go to someone else because of their advanced schooling and experience when treating my condition.

I would definitely go to the insurance company to put pressure on the originating gyn to send me to another doctor for a second opinion.
None of my doctors gave me any trouble.
My first doctor knew that I was not happy with waiting another 3 months.

Re: Complex Hyperplasia w/ atypia - Which doctor?

There are a couple of different websites. But the easiest way is to go to google and in the search box, type the full name of the doctor. It should pull all sorts of info on the doctor.
The last time I put in a web address in a post the HS hostest edited out. See TOS rules

If you need help looking up the doctor send me a private message and I will help you.

Re: Complex Hyperplasia w/ atypia - Which doctor?

I had complex hyperplasia with atypia on a polyp they removed. My biopsies and smears were negative. The ultrasound showed thickened lining. My gyn referred me to a gyn/onc. The gyn/onc said 43% chance of cancer. He was right. Best to go to a gyn/onc they can interpret all tests. Also during the surgery they'll test for cancer, then do lymph node sampling and cancer staging. Good luck.
