Past the third week and feeling fine!

The third week for me was the hardest. I was spotting and tired and frustrated, my hormones were all over the place. I'm into my fourth week now and am starting to feel more "normal". I still get tired, but not as often. My hormones seem to be leveling off. The spotting has stopped, I think it was from the dissolving stitches. I have little pain and sleep through the night. I hope I didn't just jinx myself! Fingers crossed! I just wanted to share because I see some new members just starting the journey. It gets better

Past the third week and feeling fine!

I was very reassured after reading your post. I am coming up to my third week post op and starting to feel better.

Re: Past the third week and feeling fine!

I'm hoping for a more normal sleep pattern to return. I feel really good otherwise. But I do have a lot of stupid belly button pain right now. I can't explain it. This just started. I'm sleeping good, I'm just sleeping weird hours. Glad you're feeling good too!!

Re: Past the third week and feeling fine!

Aaah, yes.. feeling human again at week 4. Insomnia, headaches may be due to reduced estrogen. If any of the sisters can have soy, it increases estrogen in the body..

If pain isnt managed, headaches can occur, so consult your Dr..I was on 800 mg ibrophrophen & reduced it..Also check estrogen reduced & anemia.

Feel better sisters!

My sleep was weird for a couple of weeks post op. I think it was my body still dealing with residual anesthesia and narcotics. It's much better now.

Re: Past the third week and feeling fine!

I never thought my weird sleep schedule could be due to the surgery! I'm exactly 4 weeks pot-op today and still find myself staying up way too late, then wanting to nap in the afternoons, which creates a vicious circle. Glad others are in the same boat.

Re: Past the third week and feeling fine!

Week three was a big step back for me. It was so weird after feeling really good (relatively) up to that point. It was really reassuring to hear that it's pretty normal.
