Something to giggle about

Thought I'd share something funny that happened at the castle. I had a beautiful private room that looked like a hotel room. It had 2 large bay windows overlooking the ER parking lot, cream colored walls, a flat screen TV and my bed was air adjustable. The morning after the surgery a young nurses aide came in and asked if I would like her to help me get up and get washed. Since I still had the catheter and the IV and this was only my second time out of bed since the surgery I thought "why not". She brought a basin and washcloths, helped me out of bed so I was standing in front of the two bay windows. I asked if we should pull the shades and she said the windows were tinted and no one can see in. So there I am stark naked washing and being washed while construction guys are working on the new wing just outside. It felt so good to be clean. That night my DD was sneaking in to visit after hours so she called me on her cell phone to say she was going to come in thru the ER. I got up and stood in the window watching for her car to come into the parking lot. When she got out of the car she looked up at my windows and waved!! Seems the windows weren't tinted after all. I'm sure the construction guys had quite a show!! :eyes:

That's hilarious Michelle! I bet you were mortified when your daughter waved at you and you realized that the windows weren't tinted. It's always much funnier in hindsight, huh?

ROTFL!!!
The same thing happened to me! I had a nice tiny little private room with one big window. The morning after my surgery, the nurse got me up to wash, so I'm stark naked with tubes hanging out everywhere, I look out the window and realise the view out my window is the opposite wing of the hospital about thirty yards away and the guy in the room opposite me was pasted to his window like Garfield on suction cups! Never been so mortified in my life!
The Nurse was very sorry, she hadn't thought to pull the blinds. Oops. Well, I guess he enjoyed his hospital stay! = )

Wow, I never thought to doubt my nurses' words. I also was in the bathroom with the door open and changing with the blinds open. The nurse assured me the windows were tinted. I would have been mortified then, but now that I'm home, oh well!

Very funny story! I don't know if this will make you feel any better but you can't see in during the day but at night you can see in if there is any light inside the room so that is why your daughter could see you. I dont think anyone could see in during the day. Unless they were real close!
