can reading here too much hurt
Hi Maztrk well, the good thing about reading a lot here is that you'll have realistic expectations about your recovery period. We do see a lot of ladies who expect to be back on their feet and at work in a week or two and are terribly upset when this doesn't happen, or they try to do it and hurt themselves.
You might want to concentrate mostly on the pull-downs and the Pre-Op forum, and maybe read a few of the castle stories in Princesses tell Hyst-Stories, and pass on the Post Op forum for right now.
Everybody's body is different, everybody's surgery is different, and everybody recovers at a different rate. Remember that ladies who recover extremely quickly and have no problems at all rarely stay around to post about it later. So, if you read through Post Op (or moreso the Hormone Jungle and Road Less Traveled forums) you will be seeing mostly ladies who've had a rough time of things and you might conclude that that's how it is for everybody. Not necessarily so.
Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones who has an easy, uncomplicated recovery... but you'll maximize the chances of that if you remember to get lots of rest and give your body time to heal. I'm looking forward to seeing you over in Post Op!
