thanks so much

I haven't really written much but read everything like crazy! Thank you all so much for all the questions and answers. Seems like someone always asked just what I was wondering. Going for pre-op on Wed. 10/23 and TAH/BSO on Fri. 10/25.

I know we're all so different, but I'm hoping not to have some great and grand story to tell! I'd just as soon be "normal", whatever that is!!

Still not feeling real anxious about it. I know I'll have lot's of prayers going up from several churches and I'm sure this great group of ladies!

I've noticed quite a few ladies mention recliners. I thought it would be my perfect excuse to go buy one right now. I had trouble just pushing the recliner back at the store last weekend. How on earth do you do that once you have surgery? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi Connie

When I read about others who spend most of their time in a recliner I wonder how they do it. Mine has a handle to get the foot rest up, but I was uncomfortable in it, and the first time I tried to get upright it really strained my insides. I avoided it after that and stuck to the couch.

And I hope that you're like me and don't have a big story to tell, that everything goes according to the plan!

Best wishes!

Welcome, Connie!

I've wondered about the recliners as well. But, I think there are some that aren't as hard to work as others. Plus, I think it would depend on the type of surgery a person has had. Just guessing.

My castle visit & recovery have been uneventful so far. I'm hoping that continues.

I spent most of my first 2 weeks on the sofa. But, I did sleep in our regular bed at night. It worked out fine. Just seems to me I haven't been able to stay in any one place too long. So, I am continually alternating walking, standing, sitting, lying down.

Hope you have a similar experience & that "waiting" is the hardest part (as it has been for most of us).

Good luck,

Mongie
