ovary problem?

if you have a problem with your ovary would it be typical to get a pain right when you would start you period and only last for about 11 or 12 days then not hurt for the rest of the month.I always thought ovarian pain would come during ovulation or at least stick around all month,not during the menstrual cycle.I'm still having monthly pain on my right side not cramp like feelings but tender,pulling pain.I'm still trying to heal so I'll wait it out to see if it ends up going away but meanwhile I keep trying to research what it could be...also this pain is more towards the center of my abdomen and not off to the side where I would picture an ovary.Are the really off to the side like in pictures or could it be smooshed to the middle of me.
