Bladder Hurts Upon Urination

My bladder muscle hurts upon urinating. I expected this right out of surgery, but after 4 weeks post op it feels a little better but kind of the same. I had 3 C-sections in the past and squeezing the bladder muscle to urinate only hurt about 10 days. I'm pretty sure it is still traumatized. Has anyone had theirs hurt this long? When did you finally get relief?

Hi Tx-RN It's been six week since mine & I still feel that pain less than the first 2 weeks, but it's still there & also I have a weird sensation it's like that area feels numbed & when I go it surprises me how much urine was in my bladder I had Davinci laparoscopic. I am sorry I can't tell you how long it'll take ? but I just wanted to let you I am going thru the same thing.Best wishes.

Have they checked for a UTi? It is common to get them after surgery which may explain the pain. I actually saw my urologist today because they thought I had another bladder infection and I was having spasms so bad I could hardly stand up. I was literally on the floor last night writhing in pain. It turns out that I have interstitial cystitis which is aggravated by foods. I am now on a strict diet and am on medicines to help. This is very common in women who have any of the pelvic disorders like endometriosis. My doc told me a lot of women he sees also have other problems and they are often related.
