dVH/RALH 2mths post op-UTIs after sex/low ab pain/swelling/spotting

Hi sisters,

It's been awhile since I've posted since my recovery was going along well. I'm 2 months post op from surgery with stage IV endometriosis and large cyst.

Recently, my husband and I were able to continue to have sex again without much problem. No real pain to speak of maybe just some pressure. However, after each time I seem to get a mild to moderate bladder infection.

In addition - I've started back to work full time (2 weeks ago) and last week started back to working out. For the past 3 days I've had low abdominal pain (very low) and feel heavy and swollen. I've also had some bleeding and spotting.

Has anyone else experienced these types of set backs at 2 months post op?

any feedback would really be appreciated ladies...

Hey hyster buddy! I still get abdominal pain when I do a lot. Haven't had any bleeding since 3 weeks though. Have you called your doc? I'm doing alright. Had to start on estrogen even though I kept an ovary and I don't think it's a high enough dose so I got to call my doctor Monday morning. My first week back to work about killed me! I couldn't do anything afte work, just rest. I'm unsure about the bladder infections but you should get it checked out. We're having problems of being tender up there still and getting frustrated! Hope your doing well

Just remember we are 40% healed at 6 weeks, 80% healed at 6 months and 100% at about a year.

With the sex, maybe you need to slightly change the angle or less vigorous since all that is so close together in our nether regions.

I have also read that it is good to go to the bathroom afterward in case you rub your urethra. This helps to clear out any blood and bacteria if you bruise a little during sex. But be sure to check with your doctor. I wonder if Kegel exercises help with that too?
