Pre Op done

I just got back from my pre op. Surgery is on the 28th. I've been feeling really nervous, but now I feel a little better about the whole thing. My Dr will be assisted by another Dr in the practice and my uro will be there also. I definately get a 23 hour stay, but they may be able to extend it since I have additional repairs. No driving 1-2 weeks. Take it easy for 4 and come back for 4 week check to get all clear for normal activities. I know that I will have weight restrictions for a while longer since I will have bladder repairs.

Now hopefully I will have a relaxing week at the beach next week and be ready to face the surgery.

I had two week vacation in France prior to my surgery, and was so proud of my tan while lying discussing it on the operating table with the theatre orderlies. hee hee.

The tan and the relaxation prepared me - Today is my first anniversary, and tomorrow I'm off for another holiday! lovely.

good deal with the vacation! Enjoy the beach. That will hopefully have you nice and relaxed for your surgery date.

Best wishes! Don't try and rush your recovery...you only have one chance to recover. Hopefully you will recover quickly. I had a 7 day hospital stay and was unable to drive for 6 weeks...I was not able to go back to work for 10. Don't worry, though...I was one of the slooooooooooow recoverers.
