low blood pressure to add to my list of problems
Can anyone tell me WHY oh WHY suddenly my blood pressure has dropped. Im only 6 1/2 days away from surgery and I feel like Im going to fall apart before I get there. Of course that would mean I wont get the opportunity to enojoy my new found freedom from pain and exhaustion.

low blood pressure to add to my list of problems
Hi! Are you feeling faint due to your low blood pressure? I think you should notify your dr and possibly have a blood test to check for severe anemia. Are you taking any medicines that could cause low blood pressure? Try to keep yourself hydrated, and give yourself several minutes to adjust to position changes, like when you sit up after lying, or stand after sitting. We don't want you falling and hurting yourself! Take care of yourself and don't do anything strenuous. Let us know what your dr says. s

Low blood pressure
Well thankyou for the ideas
Did go to the doctors this morning, anemia may be part of problem BUT good old DOC thinks its related to my ITP
Had test on Tuesday at pre op my platelet count is down at 75
SO to my distress On Wed the day before TAH I have to go to the hospital to have a platelet transfusion. This is the hematologist orders. He will not give the go ahead without the transfusion
So what I had hoped would be a good week has turned into another week of being poked before surgery. 6 whole days and counting. Thinking of you all and appreciating all the support
Will talk to you all on Monday, Have a wonderful weekend,
My man has suddenly decided that we need some roamnce before the TAH. To my surprise we are running away to the mountains for the weekend

I'm glad you talked to your dr to get this checked out! And it's good that your hematologist is on top of your ITP. I'm sorry you will have to be poked more than you had planned, but I'm sure you want enough platelets so you won't have too much bleeding during surgery!
Enjoy your surprise romantic get-away! It sounds like your guy is going to treat you like a princess, and he's started practicing already! Hope the days will go quickly for you until your castle day. s and best wishes!
