I am scheduled for a TAH for hyperplasia on August 17th. My pre-op testing is the 10th and pre-op exam is the 14th.

How are all of you today? Lindawilde you are new here, welcome, and what do you think of hyster sisters so far? Sakellaris, school starts at the end of august here in Cda, what about you? You have 4 kids, so how are you organising everything? Lilbit, greybraids, readyornot and sjfarley hope to hear from all of you soon. Hey, we could be the august bunch LOL.

I was scheduled on the 17th and got a call yesterday that I am scheduled for the 9th! I know it's still a little more than a month away, but I was kind of in shock that it was closer than I thought it was! Well, I guess less waiting is for the better! Happy thoughts to all the August LIW!

I was asked what am I doing to prepare? Well as you mentioned school starts August 13th here. so that is a week b4 my check in date. Getting 4 prepared for school and working full time+ will keep me busy. Alittle at a time I think of things that will make my recovery easier and more pleasant. Like rearranging my bedroom, I figure I will be in there alot. The other end of the house will be hopp'n and bopp'n with a 5,7,13and 14 year old. One dad to take care of everything that I normally do. (he will be so overwhelmed, he's clueless). So the bedroom will be my castle grounds.

Also my re-cope time is my vacation time, fun huh?

My hubby & were talking about things to do to prepare this morning. He is soooo supportive.

Like - what will I wear home from the hospital & what will I wear for the 5-6 weeks I recover??

We were thinking long T-shirts or sun dreeses - something loose & easy to get into.

Is there a check list or something on the site?

I read that cleaning your house is a good thing to do before you go to the hospital - as it won't get done for weeks when I get home!

I am still pretty nervous - though I have wanted this surgery for years!

SURGERY DATE UPDATE:

My just called & has changed my surgery date to Aug. 14th at 12 pm -PST.

I am in a tail spin.

I have my pre-op on the 13th

& my H & P on the 8th -

TALK ABOUT BEING AFRAID!
