intimacy after TAH/BSO

I am concerned about the time coming when I am cleared for intimacy with my husband. He is wonderful to me and has been patient about "doing without" for the past 5 weeks. I'm concerned about vaginal dryness and the tenderness of the incision. I know he will be careful, but I want to enjoy it and not be cringing in pain. Those of you who have experienced the intimacy afterwards...could you reassure me that it went well...or tell me what would have made it go better? Thanks.

The first time is awkward, no matter what. Just take it slow and after you find the right position that you are comfortable with, it's all good. I would have some KY on hand, just in case. I am 11 weeks post op, and KY is always within reach. Have fun when you are cleared.

Yes first time I was scared...it got better everytime. I am a new woman, it has not felt this good in YEARS!!!!!!!! Enjoy!
