Menstruation

I am scheduled for a LSH on January 9th. 2013. My question is I am close to starting my Period and was wondering if my Doctor would still perform the surgery if I do start before.

Re: Menstruation

Usually, being on your period is not a problem at all. However, there are some doctors who do prefer to reschedule so give yours a call to make sure. More than likely, if it is was going to be an issue your doctor would have told you when you scheduled.

Re: Menstruation

My surgeon never asked about my cycle, when I got to the hospital they did ask if there was any chance I was pregnant, but they weren't concerned about my period.
A lot of women bleed erratically and prolonged so finding a window would be a bit tricky.
Hope all is ok for you and you can carry on as planned x

Re: Menstruation

My surgery was January 2nd. My period started a few days prior and my doctor had no problem with it at all.
