2 days post hysterectomy: 10 pounds of gained bloating?!

I weighed a lot already going into the surgery and now two days later after being severally bloated It shows I gained another ten pounds. Has this happened to anybody.

I'm not worried as this happened to me during another surgery and the bloating went down and I resumed regular weight.

I just wondered why this happens?

Yes. I had surgery Monday and am also up 10lbs. A lot of it is from the fluid in the iv drip, the gas that was pumped in my stomach, the liquids I've been consuming etc. I would imagine most of it will come off in the coming weeks.

I gained 8lbs while I was in the hospital and didn't eat for 2 of those days! By day 10 that was all gone plus 4 more lbs. I was thrilled about that but after being up so much yesterday, day 14, swelly belly returned and so did 6 lbs :-/.

Its probably fluid, they overload us afterwards, close to 8 lbs for me. Took about 4-5 days andit went away!
