6 weeks post hysterectomy: Hot flashes - Lupron after effects or ovary failure

How do I know if my hot flushes are due to the remaining Prostap (like Lupron), or if my ovaries are not functioning after my op?
My last Injection was on 19 April And my SAH was 22 May. I wondered at what point do I see my GP in case my ovaries haven't kicked back in.

((Allofushere))

I'm sorry you're experiencing this.

The ovaries can go into temporary shock after hysterectomy due to the trauma of surgery, and so you may be experiencing this independently of the Prostap/Lupron. My experience of Prostap was that it wore off very quickly indeed when it wasn't topped up for a fourth time; I had three x monthly injections.

I would give it a little longer before writing off your ovaries, especially as you do have a Prostap history which may be muddying the waters a little in your case. It's far more common for the ovaries to "go to sleep" for a while than fail altogether.

I'm sending positive thoughts that they wake up soon!

Thanks for the reply
Are there any signs I should be looking for to show my ovaries are waking up?
I mean other than the menopause symptoms subsiding?
