When were you able to wear regular pants after your hysterectomy?

I am 3 1/2 months post op. I can not wear any pants with a button and zipper for longer than a couple of hours.

I start to have swelly belly and the pressure is too much.

I am wearing stretchy pants to work everyday and I hate it.

Give me hope!

I have the same problem but I'm far behind you at 8 weeks. I was hoping to be back in my jeans by 3 months. At least I can wear my fat jeans now. This week was the first time I managed all day in them. Guess I'll have to buy some more dresses

I haven't been able to wear jeans in well over a year. They just weren't comfy with that angry uterus in there.

Hopefully one day I will get back to being able to wear them.

I can't even imagine jeans..I'm 2 weeks post op. I am so glad I bought a couple maxi skirts before surgery. I have a feeling I'll be living in them for a long long time. I hope they don't go out of style soon.

I'm right there with you. Can't fit into the ones I wore right before surgery and I'm about 8 pounds less....my shape has changed. Getting dressed for work is interesting~button an zipper fine first thing but by 3 hours cant breathe! Everything is stretch and skirts. Dr told me it was my bowels?!? I'm thinking not so much, hoping it changes

Not what I wanted to hear. I am down 4 pounds and my stomach looks 4 months pregnant..

5 weeks and even though I lost a lot of weight can't fit in my cloths. Have been using yoga pants.

I haven't worn normal pants in over ten years, but it's because I'm fat. Anyway, the belly will get better, but at least for me, a year later, it's still there.

I'm almost 4 weeks post op and today was the first day I tried jeans. Luckily it being summer I could get by with Capri's and shorts with stretchy or loose fitting waste. I put my binder on though to help with the swelling and it worked. Good luck with your clothes!

About 7 or 8 weeks. Just didnt like anything scrachy tight. I thnk I wore jean capris to my doc on my 8th week checkup. Well wishes to all. From a Tx hyst sis
