I lost a lot of blood
Dr. debated post-op on doing a blood transfusion. I'm glad I didn't( I think) because of possible negative effects. Question is how to help raise my blood count ? Good news is not having post op bleeding. I have nausea and feel very weak.

I did 2 units of transfusions (4 hours) after my surgery, as I lost a lot during the surgery, plus I was low to begin. I haven't had any negative effects.
Even after that, I was still low, and it just takes time to rebuild. Iron with Vitamin C should be taken for a few weeks (the Vitamin C helps the absorption of the iron), and just be very aware of fatigue that can set in.
