My eyes! I can't read anymore!!!!!!

Last night I was trying to look through an old yearbook. It was just jumbled and I couldn't make anything out. Today when looking at my computer or ipod it makes me sick feeling. My eyes are hurting so bad. Could this be because of the hromone patch. I have been on it for 4 weeks and last night is the first time I have had a problem with my eyes.

Re: My eyes! I can't read anymore!!!!!!

I went in to surgery with no problem reading, came out and for the first 6-8 weeks I did not even read a book and I had to enlarge the screen display on my computer. The anesthesiologist says that it can take up to 6 months for the residual affect on your lens ability to contract to go back to normal, he also told me that the affect of surgery may have tipped me into needing reading glasses!!!!

Re: My eyes! I can't read anymore!!!!!!

I had problems with my eyes too. Already wore glasses but I was getting bad headaches starting at like my second week (10 weeks post op) back to work and finally figured out it was from eyestrain. I adjusted the brightness on my computer at work and that helped alot.I also notice problems with reading. I have always been nearsighted but now have a problem and have to hold the book out away from me a bit more so I notice in the am. Weird, just thought it was me.

It scared me last night. I have always had good eyes. It is hurting to even be on the computer. So I am going to go lay down and hope things are better in the morning!! Thank you both!

I also have been having issues, I normally wear glasses for distance but now I can't read with them on, I used to have no problem. I have an opthomologist appointment at the end of December, let's see what he has to say.---Lisa
