what a ride so far
Had my surgery October 28th. Went in for hysterectomy because of precancerous cells from my uterine biopsy. Was told I was just having laparoscopic, but awoke to otherwise. They started the total laparoscopic hysterectomy but then I woke up to discover they had to take my uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, and one ovary They could not risk taking things in pieces so they opened me up took it all "intact". Had nodule and scar tissue on my bladder from pre existing condition and ended up in the or for over 4 hours.
First day thought oh this is not to bad until pain meds wore off. The gas pain was the WORST. day two I spiked fever, intense pain and they had to recath me because of a distended bladder.
Survived week one okay wishing I could learn to levitate. Week two I ended back in hospital with start of appendicitis, but they didn't want to open me up so pumped me full of antibiotics, so much pain meds and nausea meds that I was pretty much sedated, but I home again on what they called a "short leash" and will have to have surgery if symptoms flare up again or my white cells start to spike again.
Tomorrow will be two weeks to the day, thinking week 3 has to get better. Thankful for all the info I had learned on this site and from checking others peoples posts. Dr said I will start menopause symptoms any day now so I guess this will continue to be a wild ride...
