All this talk on bowel prep

hi, i think that it really depends on what they think they will run into surgically as well as a specific doctors preference. i have tons of adhesions, so i need to stop eating by 7 pm sat and my surgery isn't until monday am 10 30. and i have to do enemas AND drink the vile stuff. again, your doctor will tell you what you need. they just don't want to risk contamination from intestinal contents if they are concerned about adhesions etc. my doctor told me that vodka counts as a clear liquid! i don't drink alcohol but thought that was very funny.
