TLH: Waiting and wondering

Okay so my TLH surgery is in 9 days. I have read so much information on this site and have talked to people that I am not sure what to expect. I am confused and concerned. Ovaries and everything else will be removed... everything through the tube right? I know everyone is different and it wont be the same for me but Im unsure. Will I be completely out? Will I have a lot of bleeding afterwards? Will I need to clean my bowels? I know that these are all questions for my Dr whom I will see on wednesday but just wondering from any of you who have had this perticullar surgery and how it was for you.

Hi! I had my preop today (surgery 12 Jul).
Mine...
General Anesthesia
No bowel prep (yay)
He'll try laprascopic and see if that's possible...if not he'll open me up
Ovaries & all will be going too

The list of ? from the site are great to bring!! Keep them handy as you'll add to them b/f the appointment. I forgot to ask when they were doing labs and that will be done when I do my anesthesia appt. on 9 Jul.

I had my 2nd pre op today. Yesterday I asked my gyno all my questions spent 50 mins talking. Today I saw my gen. prac dr. She listened to my lungs did the usual looking in ears ect. then sent me to the lab for blood to be drawn. I was told they were checking to see if my blood would clot and look at my red and white blood cells. I also was told no bowel prep!

I am glad you found the list of questions. It is great. This site is awesome. There is a lot of information. Also come to the Pre-op chat Jul 1. You should get an email about it when it comes around. It is a great chat to learn things. I went twice and learned something different both times. I plan on going again.
