anyone had lower back pain assoc with endo?

I have had moderate endo for years...have had 2 laser surgeries to clean it out. Chronic pelvic pain and lower back pain (not muscular, kind of like a dull ache most days)have increased a lot this past year, driving me to take more and more pain pills (any I can find and too much Advil). Am having complete abdom hyster on Tues morning (2/26). I am of course fretting because I don't see lower back pain symptoms described by many other women with endo. Am wondering about the colon/endo link...anyone with experience with this?

Hi

I had a lot of lower back pain and it has since gone after the hyst. I had endo but mine was more inside so really couldn't say. It could have been from the endo or any number of things. I am just glad it is gone. God bless.

anyone had lower back pain assoc with endo?

Hello Rose444,

You hit the nail on the head. Yes, I have low back pain, 24/7!!!

About a year ago, my low back started hurting. Very achy and stiff feeling. I went to the chiro and acupuncturist and nothing helped! Now the pain has gone to my left hip. It's the kindof pain that you cannot feel to the touch or even back rubs don't help. I always say, "It's in the bone!" It never goes away. When I first get up to walk, it takes about 5 -10 steps to get going. Sound familiar?

When I called my Doctor, she definitely associated my back pain to female problems. I've had my endo zapped too, 3 years ago. Surprisingly, it always comes back. I have a tilted Uterus as well. It's resting on the ligaments that attach to my back. Also endo can grow and connect other organs together. Scarey thought, it can happen. Are you scheduled for surgery?

Love to hear back from you!

Hi Rose.........

Me too! I have LOTS of lower back pain (among other thingS!!)
Seems to get worse the longer I'm on my feet.......Have been dx w/ endo, pcos, adhesions, and vericose veins ALL over my uterus..dr. said " yes, endo will do that!"

Scheduled for surgery 3/19 and can't wait!!!!!!!

Let us know if the hyst helps with the pain!
Good luck and a great big

anyone had lower back pain assoc with endo?

Endo seems to attach to everything. I have it on my bladder, bowel, it used to be on the outside of my uterus and over the ovaries but they are finally gone.
I still get back ache from the remaining endo and I understand how painful it is. I have a long association with endo, ovarian cysts, excess bleeding and loads of adhesions.
I have a few posts on here now so you may find them if not please email me at any time.

Good Luck

Donna

Me too!

Hi Rose,
We match in more ways than one! I too have endo and have had two laproscopies. I am scheduled on 2-26 (tomorow yikes!!) for complete adom. hyster. and I too have lots of lower back pain. Are we twins or what?! I do think the back pain is from the endo. Hopefully we will both breeze through surgery and be pain free before we know it!

anyone had lower back pain assoc with endo?

I had lower back pain, shooting pains in my thighs, abdominal pain, the whole ugly picture! I did have some endo and a very enlarged uterus due to adenomyosis (which is endo of the uterine mucle). We will be thinking about you in your great adventure tomorrow! Let me tell you that any discomfort I had post surgery could not compare to the pain I had 24/7 prior! I felt so good! Catch ya on the post side!

Oh Yeah!

Put me in the lower back pain and endo category. What can you do I have noticed the longer I am going the worse it gets. Mine also shoots down my legs and, of course, my husband thinks I'm nuts.
