Let's review

Happy New Year Sisters!

Now that the holidays are over, the funeral is past, it's time for me to review what I need to do to be ready for Mon.

When I first joined HS I read everything I could (still do) and made copies, etc. Now I need to get back to the basics and go over everything to make sure I have what I need for my journey.

Will be cleaning my house today and putting away Christmas stuff. Tomorrow will be spent and buying the little goodie bags suggested for my DD and DIL who will be waiting for me at the castle. DH is unable to get off work and that's ok.

Not too nervous.......yet! This site has been truly wonderful to gather information and knowledge. Don't know what I would have done without it. Spoke with someone in pre-op yesterday to answer a few questions. The only one that freaked me out was when she asked if I had a living will. (I don't)

So I know I will be cruising this site a lot in the next couple days. Hope your holidays were wonderful.

Hi Sparklies,

Happy New Year to You!

Glad to hear you are staying busy getting ready to be a in a few days.

I did not have a living will either, but some people do.

I noticed you are having a similar surgery to mine. I had just the posterior repair, not the anterior. If I may offer a suggestion.....it would have helped if I had bought a donut pillow for my behind. It took me 6 weeks before I could sit comfortably on a hard chair.

I hope all goes well for you.

Thanks suzyQ23

My dh is a pharmacist and I asked him about a pillow the other day and he said he'd bring me one. Need to have him bring all the other essentials too like stool softeners, etc. Kind of nice having a delivery service!!! Do I need to ask my dr about what kind he recommends (ex-lax, colace, etc) or just let dh bring something. He usually knows which ones work best anyway.

Dh is taking me to a movie today (after he takes me to lunch)....he knows how I love that popcorn. Got one room cleaned and a few Christmas things put away....there's always this afternoon.

Will be checking here often the next few days. Thanks for all your support!!!!

Hey there sisters!!!

Just like you, I am trying to get all my stuff in order and packed away in my castle bag, though I will have to double check myself with the list on this site to make sure I have everything. It would be very like me to get the minor things and when I get there I would be telling my mom or dad, "guess what I forgot?" Almost all my holiday stuff is now packed away, and my house is half way cleaned. Guess I could do more to it. I still have to work Fri. night 3rd shift and Sun. afternoon 2nd shift, then that's all for work for a few weeks, I woory about the bills but hopefully my exes will send their child support checks without delay. Sometimes they seem to think they need the money to do whatever and the kids can do without. Jerks huh? Well, gonna cut it short so I can get my list and pack my bag.
