The final push!
Okay, I go to the castle on Thursday, so today, when I really should be resting, I'm -
Scouring the house
Making a Purim costume
Running errands
Doing laundry
Generally going nuts
*sigh* Here's hoping G-d will understand.

Re: The final push!
I can soooo Understand! I go in Thursday as well and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I mean I know I need to do this and yet I want to not go and do this. I keep finding things that I need to do before even though I already did it all. The house could be cleaner or that is what I keep telling myself and my poor husband has even helped with the cleaning. In fact, I don't think my house has ever been cleaner and so my husband told me that if I did not go rest he was going to tie me to my bed!

Re: The final push!
I kept busy right up until the surgery - even had my hair cut and coloured the morning of the surgery (I was on afternoon list so didn't have to be there until midday). It helped me to be a bit more relaxed on the day. You're about to get PLENTY of rest!
go lightly ..

Re: The final push!
I actually took enough time on Friday afternoon to have a pedicure. No polish, but still nice -- I figured if I have to lie around, I can at least look down and see pretty toes! LOL!

Re: The final push!
Do as much as you can before the surgery but just know that it may all be undone very quickly afterwards... and be okay with that or hire a maid service for at least a month. It was as if my family couldn't see all the doggie paw prints piling on top of each other on my hardwood floors after surgery... and even when I would mention it over and over... no one volunteered to sweep or mop. lol. I hated to see all my pre-op cleaning go down the drain so fast, so I hired a family member to come clean every other week! I sat in the bed watching Martha Stewart on DVR for 3 hours while she cleaned.... I handed her $75 and it was the best $ I ever spent!
