Flu Shot now?

Would it be smart getting a flu shot now 30 days prior to my TAH, or get one afterwards?

Flu Shot now?

That's a good question. I would ask your doctor. I just added it to my list of questions for pre-op today. My surgery is Thursday, so I want to know if I should wait a while before getting it. I'm required to have one so it's just a matter of when.

I had mine the day I went home from the hospital. The nurse seemed to be asking everyone.

They told me to not have a flu shot before my surgery. I had my preop 2 weeks out when they told me that.
