14 months post hysterectomy: Body changes

Hello sisters
It has been 14 months since my hysterectomy and my stomach is still bloated. I'm still limited on clothes to wear; jeans are somewhat a struggle. I been exercising & watching what I eat, loss a little weight but my stomach is still bloated & tender.
Has anyone else experience this problem?
Thanks

Re: Body changes

Are your bowels moving ok? If not, this may cause bloating.

Do you swell as the day goes on, and more so if you're lifting, etc? I still swell as the day moves on. I can only wear yoga pants, even to work (my doc actually wrote me a note about this). I am 2yrs 11mo post. Sometimes it looks like I have a basketball under my shirt. When I ask my surgeon, GP, physiotherapist, no one gives me an explanation. I have on-going pain as well, so I attribute it to my body sending extra fluid there to help heal.

Re: Body changes

I'm on medications for my bowels. I always been a ” thick” girl but I have notice a major change since my surgery. The bloated, tenderness, & occasional pain. Thanks for sharing I thought I was alone...

Re: 14 months post hysterectomy: Body changes

You are definitely not alone. Although most women seem to be done swelling at 3-6 months, there are some of us that have this problem for much longer. It's terribly uncomfortable. Jeans are impossible for me. I really miss my jeans and my work pants. The things I used to take for granted... Wearing normal pants instead of elastic waisted grandma pants.
