Tube down throat

I'm with Tante on this one - the idea of the tube was something that I just have never been able to get past. I had a spinal with my TAH and it went beautifully. I also don't like the idea of general anesthesia and so I was very happy with how it all worked out for me.

Yes, with there will more than likely be a tube involved. I have throat problems and an extremely strong gag reflex. This really concerned me. I made sure to communicate this right before my surgery.

Despite my deep concerns (and a bit of paranoia!), I had no problems whatsoever, and didn't even have the slightest hint of a sore throat.
