4 days post hysterectomy: Constant bladder pressure/ push to pee

Good afternoon ladies,

Just curious to know if anyone else is experiencing bladder pressure and the need to lightly push to "get all the pee out". I know that sounds weird but I'm thinking maybe it's just my body settling into its new resting place so to speak during this healing process.

Re: Constant bladder pressure/push to pee

I was dealing with a lot of bladder pressure and discomfort yesterday but it's much better today. It's the trauma from the surgery and all the swelling. Mine was attached to other organs due to endometriosis so it's pretty tired and sore.
I found Motrin and ice packs help keep the swelling down so it releases urine easier. Once I get going a stream going I stop and start the stream to try to regain some sense of control.

It feels so different - obviously bladder has moved ! It's like you are learning to pee again! I wonder if I need to go or not it I feel better after I go. It will take some getting used to.

I had a SAH/BSO on 2/28. I had the same problem the first 2 weeks post op. I sometimes still feel like I'm not totally emptying my bladder but it does get significantly better with time.
