uncomfortable vaginal feeling

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Had TAH/BSO 3/11/05 and things have been going pretty good. Recently however I have felt like I have a tampon in my lower vagina - not painful, just wierd feeling. Is this just part of the healing process or something to call my doctor about? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

uncomfortable vaginal feeling

On really swelly days I experience something similiar. I just always thought it was part of the swelling. Haven't felt it for almost a week now.
The first 2 weeks were the worst, felt like I was ready to turn inside out form the swelling.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
Hugs,
Traci

uncomfortable vaginal feeling

I'm at nine weeks and have this feeling too. I've had it about a week and a half and have been back to work two weeks. It doesn't seem to bother me when I first get up in the morning, but by mid-morning, I can feel it. I'm not on hormones, but do use a vagifem pill twice a week. I was worried about prolapse, but there is no pain, just a swelling feeling as though there is a tampon that is trying to fall out. I was planning to call my doctor on Thursday, as her office is closed tomorrow. I'd be interested in anyone else who may have felt this way...

uncomfortable vaginal feeling

I had this feeling at 8 weeks post op. It became very painful. Please go to the doctor and have it checked out. Mine ended up being a Bladder Issue. I have heard that it could be swelling, however it is always better to get it looked at.

uncomfortable vaginal feeling

I called my doctor and she told me to take a sitz bath twice a day. It was difficult because I work, but I managed to do one in the morning and one in the evening and that made it feel better. When I went to see her the next week, she examined me and said there was nothing there out of the ordinary and she suspected it was chemical. So I started washing my clothes with Tide Free with no scents or bleach and haven't had any problems since. I quit using chlorine bleach in my white clothes several years ago because it gave me an itchy rash, so this made sense that I would develop another sensitivity. Also, a week before my surgery, I had a reaction to some Chinese food, which I've never had before. This was my experience, but I would recommend you call your doctor because everyone is different.

Me Too !

I've had this also, and have thought it might be due to the swelling?

Sometimes I have a sharp pain in the groin, near the lymphnode, .. I have noticed when the swelling is worst in the vaginal area.
My bladder feels fine, and all systems (plumbing) appear to be okay.

uncomfortable vaginal feeling

I'm 2 weeks post op and whereas I'm only taking ibuprofen for any discomfort...by the middle of the day I feel like my "bottom is falling out."...like my vagina is going to turn inside out. My doctors appt is Tuesday.

Can someone tell me how the vagina is supported after surgery? Surely they just don't leave it in the flopping around? I had TAH w/ cervix and ovaries and bladder tack. I read a HORROR story on this board about a woman whose vagina fell out. Scares the hell out of me.
