How long did your surgery take?

Hello all you post-opers, I hope you all are feeling better. I am due to have my hyst. on the 5th of Dec. and I was wondering how long it took for your surgery. I know once they knock me out it will seem like it was over in no time, but really how long did it take? TIA

I had a TVH and my husband said that i was out within 45 mins. and in recovery. Went in at 7:30 and he was calling my parents by 8:15 to let them know I was in recovery. Hope everything goes well!

How long did your surgery take?

Hi Kelly;

It really depends on what all you are having done as to when the surgery will be over.
Mine took about 4 hours. But, after they did my hysterectomy, they did what is called "cleaning" to be sure no cancer was evident anywhere.

I wish you all the best. Be sure to let us know how you are after your surgery! (Well, not right after but as soon as you can).

's to you!

Sybie

How long did your surgery take?

I think mine was about an hr. & a half.I was in recovery for awhile waiting for my room, so I'm really not sure how long the surgery lasted.I don't think it was that long.It seemed to go pretty fast.

surgery time

Dr said it would be an hour and a half (from the time I got anesthesia started) and that's how long it took. Makes sense that timing depends on what and how much you are having done.

My surgical time was 4 hours which included repair to my nicked bladder. I don't know how long each surgery took.

How long did your surgery take?

Hi!
I am having a LAVH on Dec. 6th and I asked my Dr. how long it would take, she said 2 hours. I think it may depend on what type of surgery you are having and also any problems you may have.
All the Best,
Laurie

How long did your surgery take?

my doctor said 1 1/2 hours for a tah/bso. and i am 175lbs. i would think being cut and stitched would really be more or less time depending on your size. does that make sense? i go nov. 28th and had blood work done this morning in case of tranfusion....let's not even go there....good luck and hugs many many hugs...

How long did your surgery take?

i'm also going nov. 28th and I'm a little nervous. My two ovaries and uterus will be removed due enlargement and multiple cysts. I thought of cancelling this morning but fortunately changed my mind..... Goodluck, Godspeed and God bless us all .....
